A ListServe just for Trauma Nursing

The Trauma Nurses listserve is a new service of STN.  Subscription to the listserve will be open to anyone until July 1, 2002.  After July 1, only members of STN in good standing will be able to be subscribers to this service. All others will be automatically unsubscribed.

In order to subscribe, send an e-mail to:  TraumaNurses-request@TraumaNurseSoc.org and include Subscribe in the subject line.  You will receive a confirmation to which you MUST REPLY in order to complete the subscription.. 

How to use the list serve:    When you want to send a message to all listserve subscribers, send an e-mail to TraumaNurses@TraumaNurseSoc.org  and the message will be sent to all the subscribers of the service.  Use the subject line carefully as subscribers often select an e-mail to read by the subject listed.

How to Digest:  This means you will get one e-mail a day with all the communications for that day to read together. 
Send a message to the list server   TraumaNurses-request@TraumaNurseSoc.org with a subject line that reads "set TraumaNurses digest".   This will turn on digests, and you  will receive a digest however often the server is configured to send them.

How to Vacation:  When you go on vacation, put your subscription on vacation hold just like you do the newspapers.   Send a message to the list server  TraumaNurses-request@TraumaNurseSoc.org with a subject line that reads "set TraumaNurses vacation".  This will put your service on hold for 2 weeks.  If you return early, just re-subscribe.  The listserve tries to pick up automatically the words out of the office, vacation, etc. in the first sentance of an auto reply.  But best to do it yourself
